Workshops and Retreats are open to males and females aged 16 and above, generally with a maximum of 10-12 participants. They are participatory in nature and lots of fun. Places need to be reserved for scheduled dates. Alternatively get a group together and we will run one just for you!!!
Organic Weekend Gardening Workshop

Arriving Saturday morning for 10am start – Finishing Sunday 3pm
This is a hands on learning environment:
Based around the vegetable garden this is a hands on learning experience
so you will need to bring gardening gloves, work clothes & gardening boots or shoes.
We could be turning compost, fertilizing, weeding, sowing & planting depending on the time of year.
Also harvesting & being nourished from the garden & surroundings.
No experience necessary.
There is no cost for this workshop.

Weekend Retreat and Philosophical Discussion Evening - Check the "What's on" section for dates
If you like what we do at Antara, it's concepts and philosophy and are interested in being more involved - we invite you to a philosophy discussion evening and weekend retreat.
Held at the Antara Retreat. Saturday 5:30pm. Come and join us with homemade soup and bread, followed by philosophy discussion at 6.30pm. Sunday: Sleep in - relax - retreat bush walk.

Yoga – Weekend Retreat - Check the "What's on" section for dates
This is a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with yourself for a full week-end. Experience how yoga strengthens the mind, body and spirit. Yoga basics are covered with attention to alignment in the poses, as well as looking at the therapeutic aspects of postures. Pranayama (breathing) and relaxation techniques are covered, bringing balance and harmony to the mind and body.
Beginners are always welcome. There is plenty of free time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Delicious food is freshly made from our own organic produce, wholesome and very tasty.

Body Talk ACCESS – Weekend Workshop
Facilitator - Christine Williams (certified BodyTalk practitioner and certified Access instructor
BodyTalk Access is designed to be used by any layperson or health care provider to bring about significant improvement in health using five simple techniques that can be learned in one day and implemented in 10 minutes. Its power is based on increasing the levels of internal communication within the body - stimulating the body's own ability to regain and maintain a healthy balance.
Communication & Helping – Weekend Workshop

This workshop has a high games and activity component. It focuses on skills relating to inter-personal relationships, communication and the helping of others. Course feedback has been exceptional and it comes as highly recommended. Accomodation, food and workshop provided free of charge
Content: understanding self identity and worth; communication; problem solving and decision making; effective helping behaviours; lots of fun through participation in games and activities!!!

Body & Soul – Weekend Workshop
Run by arrangement for groups
This workshop is designed to introduce a variety of natural therapies and to highlight the importance of people taking care of their physical and emotional well being. Accomodation, food and workshop provided free of charge.
Content:- nutrition, yoga, meditation, massage, homeopathy, organic gardening & more!!!
Facilitators: Trained therapists share their knowledge as well as provide people with the opportunity to get involved
Personal Development Group (for current and would-be volunteers)

The Personal Development Group is for those interested in supporting the retreat, developing themselves as well as helping others. The group will be facilitated by Craig Parker who
is one of the retreat founders and a qualified counsellor.
Craig has lead Peer Counselling and Leadership courses at the retreat. The development content will be driven by the group including shared learning from the experience of those involved.
There are three Saturdays planned this year and will include personal development, self awareness and helping skills. Please email us or phone 09-423-7070 to book.
